Louise joined Boyle Tricks Leonard in September 2023 after spending six years at criminal law firm Walker Lahive in Plymouth.
She began her career in the law as a trainee legal executive at Stephen Scown in 2000, before joining Woollcombe Yonge in 2005 where she began specialising in criminal defence work. She is a chartered legal executive advocate and has passed the criminal litigation accreditation scheme, which means she is on the duty solicitor rota for the magistrates court and the police station.
In addition to her criminal expertise, Louise also has experience in working as a mental health advocate and advising clients on family law matters. She is currently studying for an Open University degree in forensic psychology.
During her distinguished career Louise has defended clients charged with all sorts of offences – from minor matters such as shoplifting, assaults and road traffic offences, right through to more serious allegations such as rape, manslaughter and murder.
Louise represents clients at police stations and magistrates courts throughout Devon and Cornwall and assists barristers in Crown Court cases. She is widely praised by clients, families, carers and guardians for her knowledge, understanding and focus on getting the best outcomes possible.
